First edition, first printing - this copy has never been read and is signed by Christopher Tolkien to the limitation page. Signed and remarqued by the artist Bill Sanderson.
A beautiful gilt-edged leatherbound traycased limited edition, this is number 272 of 500 limited edition copies. Signed by Christopher Tolkien (editor, author of the foreword and the introduction), this has also been signed by the artist Bill Sanderson, who has also done a full-page remarque of the cover device within the book. A beautiful unread copy from my personal collection, this copy has no defects other than a slight dropping of the traycase due to the weight of the book over time.
I will include the original rough Bill Sanderson drew for the remarque.
